It is part of politics and honestly can be a small and sometimes humorous break from the constant rhetoric, baby-kissing and rah-rah-ing.

There is nothing wrong with "playing around with new ideas" in order to get comfortable with them, even if that means some teasing and jokes and even suspicions along the way. At least people are saying what's on their mind!

I think there is nothing wrong with getting clarification from Barak's own mouth that he too believes that Farrakhan is a dangerous, hateful man instead of saying, "Well, he is a brotha and I'm glad my people are supporting me." I think it shows a lot of character on Barak's part. And as a Jewish American, he put my mind at ease that Farrahkan's support of him is in no way reciprocal.

As I said, if you were paying attention, JUST by the fact that America is wrestling with this complex decision we are making progress, we are growing and hopefully paving the way for something very different. Maybe not this election..but soon.

As your boy Phil Collins likes to say: I can feel it coming in the air tonight...oh lord.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7590462032493562100.post-75743355463475519422008-02-27T17:11:00.000-05:002008-02-27T17:11:00.000-05:00Because it's in "Jest" I won't acknowledge it.Your...Because it's in "Jest" I won't acknowledge it.
Your 2nd comment is a widely accepted viewpoint. It's like saying "shit is fucked up just be complacent and don't rock the boat. Let's be spoon fed by mainstream media because it's in our best interest."

If what you're saying is the "American Way" maybe there should be a balance. Let's stand up for what we believe in. This caviler attitude of "Playing" around with the idea of change in our social structure and securing the future is something that's not to be taken lightly. If we adopted The don't fight it mentality where would women and people of color be?, certainly not running for the presidency.

That's a "Curse" I can't accept.Blac Renhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15160358646549425111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7590462032493562100.post-6834280878450858882008-02-27T15:35:00.000-05:002008-02-27T15:35:00.000-05:00The following comment is being said in jest:I just...The following comment is being said in jest:

I just don't think you can compare racial/ethnic/religious comments to comments about menstruation. Having your period is far worse than being a target of racial discrimination bc it's isn't mortal man that hates you, but God himself!

They don't call it THE CURSE for nothing.

btw- they have to make this election an issue of gender and race because america has not yet been able to get past those differences fully... don't fight it. we're playing around with this new idea of a black or female leader and you can't expect it to be smooth sailing. it's new, it's different, it's unpredictable. white rich conservative men: they are what we know, what we expect. even barak and hill both lose, it is still a time of change and shifting in this country. what's happening now is simply childish teasing and mud-slinging, it is the american way.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7590462032493562100.post-88261607704215064872008-02-27T15:02:00.000-05:002008-02-27T15:02:00.000-05:00To Anonymous:I will never know what it's like to b...To Anonymous:

I will never know what it's like to be woman.
My comment was directed to Russert and Conservative Pundits who feel that way or anyone for that matter who makes this election an issue of gender or race.

I so want to comment about how you have no idea what it feels like to be treated unfairly based on race, to experience society through the eyes of a person of color. But wait as a woman you may have a clue.

Instead of making it a Male Female issue, let's make it a human issue.

Blac Ren:
The Product of a Single Mom HouseholdBlac Renhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15160358646549425111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7590462032493562100.post-83458753131088771692008-02-27T14:07:00.000-05:002008-02-27T14:07:00.000-05:00then again, she's probably gone through menopause ...then again, she's probably gone through menopause by now. bring on the HOT FLASHES... that's worth at least a day off per month.

BONUS JOKE:
(as told by penn gillett):

hillary was complaining how it was unfair that the primaries were held during black history month. so sorry hillary...there is no white bitch month.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7590462032493562100.post-58351311147118489442008-02-27T14:01:00.000-05:002008-02-27T14:01:00.000-05:00I so want to comment about how you have no idea wh...I so want to comment about how you have no idea what it feels like

a. to have a uterus and

b.to have that uterus strangled in a vice-like death grip for 5 days straight.

But I won't...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
